Overview

This unit provides students with the opportunity to develop basic skills and knowledge required to prepare, extract, and serve, a variety of espresso coffees whilst adhering to hygienic food safety practices, including the popular short & long blacks, cappuccino, café latte, macchiato and more.

The barista course also includes food safety, hygiene, preparing and organizing work area, espresso equipment & operations and how to clean & maintain coffee equipment.

Entry Requirements

  • Pre-requisite unit: SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety.

Upon successful completion you will be issued with a statement of attainment
