While there are no licensing or regulatory prerequisites for this course, completion of the general construction induction training program, such as CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, is mandatory for individuals involved in construction work. This aligns with the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work.

Concession Eligibility

Students who hold any of the following concession cards at the time of their enrolment may be eligible to for a concession fee:

  • Hold a health care card
  • Hold a pensioner concession card
  • Hold a pensioner concession card issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Are a prison inmate, a detainee, on remand, held in a South Australian institution in connection with the commission of an offence, or a child in a South Australian detention centre older than 16 years.

Please note: Proof of eligibility for concession must be demonstrated at the time of enrolment.

The student tuition fees published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.

Fees

This course is subsidised through the Government of South Australia’s subsidised training indicative https://www.skills.sa.gov.au/subsidised-eligibility. The eligibility check is an indication only and does not confirm the eligibility status. Eligibility verification will take place during the enrolment.

If eligible for subsidised training, apprentices and trainees are required to pay a Student Contribution Fee. The Student Contribution Fees are charged minimum at the rate of $0.50 per nominal hour for each unit of competency/module to be calculated at the commencement of the unit of competency/module.

If agreed between the employer and the apprentice/trainee, student contribution fees can be paid by the employer.

Traineeship Contribution Fee – $1250

Concession Fee – $350

Fee for Service – $9500
