Melbourne Cup Day at Salford College!

The race that stops the nation stopped and yet moved all the parts at Salford College. Our Hospitality Students put out a splendid show on this day by catering for 23 guests at the new campus of Hotel Grand Chancellor. It was a gala Charity lunch with all ladies dressed with lovely hats and all the money raised was donated to Camp Australia. It was a stellar show put on by our School Students from and supervised by our Certificate IV Commercial Cookery students. Well done all of you! And did we tell you that Joanne from Bada Education Services along with our very own Business Mentor Dianne won the Winning Horse!

While the students at Hospitality campus were busy being the hosts, the Grenfell St Campus was busy being spoiled with a showing of the cup and putting their money on sweepstakes.

A perfect Melbourne Cup for South Australia as the Jockey from Streaky Bay (South Australia) won the show for the second time in his career. Well Done. Almandin was guided to victory by jockey Kerrin McEvoy in an amazing finish.
