Build Strong Foundations in Food Safety & Cookery

 This skill set is designed to equip you with essential skills for safe and effective work in commercial kitchens. Through hands-on training, you’ll develop food preparation techniques, hygiene protocols, and an understanding of kitchen operations—all vital for entry-level roles in hospitality, aged care, education, and health settings.

Equipment & Uniform Requirements

Bring your own:

  • Chef’s knife and paring knife
  • Non-slip, closed-toe shoes (preferably black)
  • White or black polo shirt or chef’s jacket
  • Black pants, white apron, white skull cap (hair nets provided)

This training is funded through the Government of South Australia and delivered by Salford College (RTO Code: 40298).

Successful completion leads to a Statement of Attainment for nationally accredited units listed on training.gov.au.
