Overview
The CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways is a nationally recognised qualification and your gateway to the building and construction industry. This course is designed to give you the confidence, skills, and hands-on experience you need to take your first step into the workforce, an apprenticeship or further study.
Delivered over 3 months — 2 days per week including practical training — the course is built to fit around your life while giving you real-world experience from day one.

Entry Requirements
- Course entry interview
- Salford LLN Test (Language,Literacy & Numeracy)
- Basic digital literacy (laptop or tablet required)
- Personal tool kit and PPE for practical sessions

Estimated Total Fee – $500 (Gap Fee)
This training is funded through the Government of South Australia and delivered by Salford College (RTO Code: 40298)
Successful completion leads to a Statement of Attainment for nationally accredited units listed on training.gov.au.

Mandatory PPE
- Steel cap boots
- High-visibility shirt or vest
- Long pants
- Safety glasses / goggles

- Hearing protection (earmuffs or plugs)
- Hard hat
- Dust mask or respirator
- Knee pads / kneeling pad
Pathways
Employment
Enter the workforce as a Builder’s Labourer or Construction Support Worker.
Apprenticeship
Use this qualification as a direct pathway into a trade apprenticeship in carpentry or other construction specialisations.
